Well Aware Activities 2005

Conservation Corps of Newfoundland and Labrador

Friendly Visits

Friendly Visits involved a one-on-one discussion between a well owner and a Conservation Corps Coordinator about water supply issues. Wells were examined for possible sources of water contamination and suggestions were made on how to improve the well. Though not currently part of the Well Aware Program, Conservation Corps Newfoundland and Labrador does offer resources however to help well owners conduct a self-guided assessment of their wells.

Self-Guided Well Visit

Provided below is a checklist homeowners can use for a Self-Guided Friendly Visit. The left column lists a topic that should be considered, and the right column lists the reference pages of the Well Aware booklet that provide information on that topic. Well owners are encouraged to contact the appropriate department for your well type to ensure you have all the information you need to keep your water safe.

The Well Aware booklet can be downloaded here or you can get a paper copy by contacting the Conservation Corps by email or phone at 709-729-7265.
