Community Meetings
Community meetings have been used to promote Well Aware resources to the general public, and have allowed local well owners to pose questions relating to their own well concerns and water quality issues to local professionals. During these sessions, the issues of water conservation, the interaction between septic systems and groundwater, proper construction and maintenance of dug and drilled wells, bacterial and mineral water contaminants, and water testing were discussed, and specific concerns were addressed by trained professionals in relevant fields.
Information and brochures that were given at meetings can be found on the following websites:
Further public meetings will be planned in municipalities in the Northeast Avalon in 2007. Check back often for more details.
