Interested In A Presentation On Climate Change?

Conservation Corps Newfoundland and Labrador is pleased to once again have the opportunity to offer free presentations on climate change to schools throughout Newfoundland and Labrador!  The presentation, “Climate Change - A Local Focus on a Global Issue", is funded through Green Street Canada and is available until the end of the current (2010-2011) school year!

The presentation, which is appropriate for all grade levels, offers opportunities for discussion while students are given some background on the science of climate change and are offered predictions of local impacts.  Links are drawn between individual actions and global effects and students (and teachers!) are encouraged to make environmentally friendly choices in their day-to-day lives.

In addition to an in-class presentation, participating teachers will receive a Climate Change Club booklet and a resource CD filled with climate change lesson plans and activities.

Teachers may request a presentation by contacting Krista Perry at 729-7279 or email kperry@ccnl.ca.
